There are materials for all tastes and all "buying power" but it will not be with expensive materials that you will draw better or learn easier. See our great and cheap material tips.



Everyone who starts out in the quest to develop the art of drawing always has these questions:

  • "Is it easy to find the drawing materials?"
  • Are drawing materials expensive?
  • What kind of pencil is used to draw?

For the beginner, pencils of 4H, H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B are sufficient.
These graduations are more common, cheap and easy to find and allow you to practice various drawing techniques such as sketch, light, shadow, brightness, etc.
